Do I need MPPT or is PWM fine?
For a lithium house bank and any panel over ~100W, MPPT pays for itself in extra harvested watts, especially in cold or shaded conditions. PWM only makes sense for tiny, budget setups.
How many watts can a 50A MPPT handle?
Roughly: amps × ~19V ÷ panel-voltage-loss ≈ capacity. A 50A controller on a 12V bank handles around 600–700W of panel comfortably. Size up (60A) if you plan to expand.
Can I mix brands with my other gear?
